Hi,
greetings from south Italy.

After 4 years I rediscovered the Bitchar g world and started to work on my car again.
I have a little collection of bullet clones, Shen Qi Wei and Precious, bought in the year 2003.
I raced them last time in 2004 if I remeber correctly.

As you can imagine the batteries leaked acid so I'm working on them with sandpaper and a lot of patience !! After a good sanding in the car too, the batterie seems to work again.

The biggest problem, by the way, are the motors... several of them simply doesn't run at all...
Is there a way to recover those motors or am I doomed to thrash away those motors ?

Try to clean them first from dust and then drop an very small amount of oil onto the axle. Try to put it with a toothpick. ay help. Did you check the contacts? You might want to bend them slightly inwards, so they get a better touch to the motor...

Wellcome to the board.

Before you start working on the motors ..... I don't believe, your batteries are working again. After such time unused they are simply done!!!

Insert new batteries (I am talking about the rechargable batteries in the Bits), charge them and then check the motors. I am pretty sure they work again.

Check the Batteries by steering. If steering works, but motor doesn't, then follow the steps I wrote. But if steering doesn't, Nobbinase might be right. Replace the car battery by a new one.

By the way. After sanding and cleaning the acid, take out the battery and flush your car thorously with normal water. Let it dry completely to avoid short circuit. Then replace the battery and hopefully race...

If you need to flush your car with water, please use destilled water.
Use a hair dryer to dry your car again ... but be careful, don't use too much heat.

Destilliertes Wasser ist destilliertes Wasser. Alles andere ist was anderes.
Kannst Du quasi an jeder Tanke kaufen ... oder wie ich aus dem Labor mitbringen

Hi guys,
thank you for your advice !

Luckily, after sanding and polishing, batteries are working again but motors are gone
I tried with oil, crc, wd40 but nothing... they are gone.
Some batteries tab are broken too, but some hot glue fixing and some soldering have solved the problem !
